Onda Medical is a distributor specializing in high-quality medical implants. The company aims to maintain impeccable inventory tracking for UDI compliance as they distribute to various healthcare providers.

Objective

Utilize HUB's inventory features to maintain UDI-compliant tracking of medical implants distributed to healthcare providers.

Actors

Steps

  1. Inventory Manager logs into HUB and navigates to the 'Inventory' tab.
  2. Inventory Manager creates a new catalog designated for medical implants, with an emphasis on capturing all UDI-required fields such as Serial Number, Lot Number, and Expiration Date.
  3. Inventory Manager uploads the catalog and populates the stock at their main distribution center, validating all UDI information.
  4. Inventory Manager uses HUB to generate barcodes for each item. These barcodes are printed and attached to the physical implant packages.
  5. Sales Team receives an order from a healthcare provider. They use HUB to select the appropriate implants, scanning the barcodes to automatically update the inventory.
  6. Inventory Manager confirms the outgoing shipment, ensuring that all UDI information is transmitted to the healthcare provider for their records.
  7. Healthcare Provider receives the shipment and confirms receipt in HUB, enabling end-to-end tracking.
  8. Compliance Officer periodically checks the UDI data within HUB, ensuring that all distributed items are in compliance with regulatory standards.
